Earning
Eligible own flights earn by base fare and fare product: currently Basic/Choice/Choice Preferred/Choice Extra earn 2/6/10/14 points per USD 1 respectively. Award tickets and Companion Pass companions have different eligibility.
Status & tiers
For calendar year 2026, A-List needs 20 qualifying one-way flights or 35,000 TQP; A-List Preferred needs 40 or 70,000 TQP. Companion Pass separately needs 100 qualifying one-way flights or 135,000 qualifying points; the award balance cannot be used to decide it.

Expiry
Rapid Rewards points do not expire; closing the account ends the balance. Flight credit validity is a separate matter.
