Ordinary passport visa exemption
Since 9 February 2024, PRC ordinary passport holders may enter Singapore without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days under the mutual visa-exemption arrangement. The exemption does not cover activities that require prior approval, such as work or journalism, or stays longer than 30 days; arrange the appropriate visa before travel when required.
Submit the SG Arrival Card
Most travellers entering Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) within three days, including the day of arrival. Submission through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is free. The SGAC is not a visa. Travellers who transit without seeking immigration clearance are exempt from this submission requirement.
Before boarding
- Confirm the document is an ordinary PRC passport and the trip falls within the 30-day short-stay arrangement.
- Submit the SGAC through ICA's official e-Service or MyICA app, not a paid third-party site.
- Check the destination's entry conditions and your carrier's document checks again before departure.
- For work, journalism, a longer stay or a different travel document, check ICA or the nearest Singapore mission.
