Mileage expiry date calculator

Estimate when an inactive balance would expire, from your last qualifying activity and the programme’s rule.

Only inactivity rules whose wording we found verbatim in an archived official page are listed, with the source and check date. Read the quoted wording: some rules end at the end of a month or exclude some activity.
The last time you earned or redeemed, as the programme counts it.
From the programme’s terms, e.g. 18.

What it works out

Many programmes cancel a balance after a set number of months without qualifying activity. This calculator adds the months in the rule you enter to your last activity date. If the date does not exist in the target month (for example 31 February), it uses the last day of that month.

Programmes define activity, time zones and exceptions differently, and some never expire miles while you hold status or a card. Use the result as a reminder and check your account for the real date.

How to use it

  1. Pick a sourced rule or enter the months from your programme’s terms.
  2. Enter the date of your last earning or redemption.
  3. Tick the end-of-month box if the rule says the balance expires at the end of a month.
