PROGRAMME PROFILE
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge: Programme Profile
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge access sits inside Singapore Airlines' own membership structures rather than inside a card product: the KrisFlyer terms state that the type of credit, charge or debit card a member holds has no bearing on KrisFlyer status and does not entitle the member to lounge access or to any Star Alliance or Singapore Airlines associated benefits [2]. Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer Elite qualification guidance lists lounge access among the benefits of KrisFlyer Elite Gold, describing access to more than 1,000 lounges worldwide [5].
Facts checked: 18 October 2026
Key takeaways
- Lounge entitlement follows membership status, not a card product: the KrisFlyer terms say the card held has no bearing on status and does not entitle the member to lounge access or Star Alliance or Singapore Airlines associated benefits [2].
- Of the two Elite tiers, only Elite Gold has lounge access listed among its benefits, described as more than 1,000 lounges worldwide [5].
- Elite Gold is reached with 50,000 Elite miles within 12 consecutive months and Elite Silver with 25,000 [5], with non-flight Elite Miles counting up to 5,000 toward Silver and 10,000 toward Gold [5].
Which published benefit includes lounge access
Singapore Airlines publishes two Elite thresholds: 25,000 Elite miles within 12 consecutive months for Elite Silver and 50,000 for Elite Gold, each valid for 12 months and renewable by earning the same amount again during the current membership period [5]. The Elite Gold benefit list on that page includes access to more than 1,000 lounges worldwide, alongside priority check-in and additional baggage allowance [5]. The Elite Silver list sets out a 25% KrisFlyer miles bonus, service-fee discounts and priority waitlisting, and does not include lounge access [5].
Elite miles are earned on Singapore Airlines, on Star Alliance partner airlines, and on Virgin Australia for Singapore Airlines codeshare flights operated by Virgin Australia within Australia, across the Tasman and between Australia and the Pacific Islands [2]. Since 1 September 2025 they can also be earned from spend with Kris+, KrisShop and Pelago [2]. Tier bonuses and any type of promotional bonus do not count as Elite miles [2].
Non-flight Elite Miles are capped: up to 5,000 in a rolling 12-month period toward an Elite Silver upgrade and up to 10,000 toward an Elite Gold upgrade, with equivalent ceilings for renewals [5]; the KrisFlyer terms set out the same 5,000 and 10,000 limits [2]. Elite miles reset to zero at the end of a member's individual Elite membership year, a 12-month period starting from the date of upgrade or renewal [2].
PPS Club and the card rule
PPS Club is a separate structure that runs alongside the Elite tiers. PPS Value is derived from Singapore-dollar amounts spent on Eligible Flights, defined as Singapore Airlines flights in Suites, First Class and Business Class only, and cannot be earned on Premium Economy or Economy Class [2]. A member who qualifies for PPS Club as well as Elite Silver or Elite Gold is accorded PPS Club privileges and benefits, and members are not allowed to accumulate the benefits and privileges of both programmes [2]. Published service-fee guidance also waives offline service fees for all PPS Club members and supplementary cardholders [3].
The card rule is explicit and worth separating from the status rules: because card type has no bearing on KrisFlyer status and does not entitle a member to lounge access or associated benefits [2], a premium or co-branded card should not be read as conferring lounge entry on its own.
What the sources do not set out
- Cabin-based access.
- Guests. General guest-policy terms are collected under lounge guest policy.
- Locations. Elite Gold counts more than 1,000 lounges worldwide [5].
- Star Alliance. Access to a partner-operated lounge should not be assumed to be equivalent to SilverKris access.
Exceptions and limits
- Misuse of a membership card, the programme or its related benefits may result in termination or suspension of membership, or withdrawal of benefits [2]. If membership is terminated, accrued KrisFlyer miles, status credits, rewards and other benefits are revoked and forfeited [2].
- A KrisFlyer account with no recorded activity for 45 consecutive months from the date of the last recorded activity, or for 24 months from the date membership commenced, may be closed without prior notice [2].
- Award travel does not build the status on which lounge access depends: redemption tickets are not eligible for KrisFlyer miles, Elite miles or PPS Value accrual [4].
- Where a ticket is upgraded to a higher cabin class, KrisFlyer miles and status credits such as Elite miles and PPS Value accrue on the booking class fare or value of the original ticket before the upgrade [4].
- Elite miles earned before a membership upgrade do not count toward qualification for the next renewal period, and a membership upgrade can take up to one day to process [5].
- Singapore Airlines reserves the right to modify the KrisFlyer programme and PPS Club structures, benefits and terms at its sole discretion without prior notice [2].
