How to Join Italo Più: Enrollment Steps and Rules
Italo Più is the free loyalty program of Italo – Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori S.p.A., the Italian high-speed rail operator, and you join it by completing the enrollment form in the Italo Più section of italotreno.com, which is open to individuals aged 18 or over who accept the program rules. [2] Enrollment produces a personal Italo Più code that you enter when buying a ticket so that qualifying points are credited to your account. [2]

Key takeaways
- Joining is free and open to individuals who are at least 18 years old when they enroll, through the dedicated section of the Italo website. [2]
- You must accept the Italo Più rules, and one person may hold only one Italo Più code. [2]
- The code has to be entered when you buy a ticket, or no later than three minutes before departure, otherwise the points are not recognized. [2]
- Points are credited within 15 working days of the travel date, and the level is reassessed over a 12-month qualifying period that starts on your enrollment date. [2]
Who can join Italo Più?
Any individual who has reached the age of 18 at the moment of enrollment may join free of charge by filling in the registration form in the Italo Più section of the website. [2] The information supplied must be complete, current and truthful, and the member undertakes to tell Italo about any later change to the details given, bearing responsibility for false, incorrect or incomplete declarations. [2] Before the data is collected, the applicant is shown a privacy notice prepared under the applicable data protection law and gives consent where consent is required. [2] Joining also means accepting the Italo Più rules, together with the rules of any prize event or promotion that Italo links to the program. [2]
Registration is handled online, and the Italo website carries the Italo Più Loyalty Program in its main navigation with a sign-up entry point, in English as well as in Italian. [1] [2] Whether a particular purchase generates qualifying points depends on the commercial offer under which the ticket is bought, which Italo sets out on the website. [2] For the ticket side of that question, see Italo fare types.
How do you enroll in Italo Più step by step?
- Open the Italo Più section of italotreno.com and start the sign-up. [1] [2]
- Complete the registration form with your personal details. [2]
- Read the privacy notice and give the consents it asks for. [2]
- Accept the Italo Più rules and any linked promotion terms. [2]
- Keep the credentials you created: your username is the email address you used, and the password is the one you chose. [2]
- Note the Italo Più code assigned to you and use it on every purchase. [2]
First name, surname and date of birth cannot be edited in the personal area; if one of them was entered wrongly, the correction has to be requested by email to [email protected], sent from the address used at registration. [2] The username, password, mobile number, address and privacy consents, by contrast, can be changed at any time from the personal area. [2] The member is solely responsible for keeping the username and password confidential. [2]
What can you do once you have a code?
The Italo Più code lets you enter the prize events and promotions that Italo runs during the program, gives faster recognition at the purchase stage on the website, through the Italo apps, the Contact Center and Pronto Italo on 06.07.08, and opens the way to the levels and cards. [2] In the personal area you can see the points balance you have accumulated, review your purchases and any offers addressed to you, and edit your personal data except name, surname and date of birth. [2] The personal area is reachable through the website and the Italo apps, or, for a fee, through the Contact Center by quoting the code and the mobile number given at registration. [2]
The code must be used when the ticket is bought, or at the latest three minutes before the train departs; if it is not, the points are no longer recognized. [2] Points are credited within 15 working days of the actual date of travel. [2] The card for your level is issued digitally, is registered in your name, personal and non-transferable, may be used only by its holder, and displays the Italo Più code together with your first name and surname. [2]
Membership lasts for an indefinite period, subject to Italo's right to stop the program at any time, and a registered member stays enrolled in any later edition unless they withdraw. [2] The consumer scale runs through the Member card, Premium, Privilege and Privilege Plus levels, and the level is updated every 12 months from the enrollment date, the so-called qualifying period: at the end of each period the member receives the level matching the qualifying points earned, and the qualifying points count restarts from zero. [2] The levels and the points they require are explained on the Italo Più program page, and the vocabulary is set out in the frequent flyer glossary.
How do employees join through a company?
Corporate levels are reserved for employees of companies, bodies and associations that have signed a corporate agreement with Italo. [2]
| Situation | How enrollment works | Level applied |
|---|---|---|
| Individual member | Registration form in the Italo Più section of the website, age 18 or over | Member, Premium, Privilege or Privilege Plus |
| Employee of a company with a corporate agreement, not yet enrolled | Sign up through the website or through the link the employer provides once the agreement is in place, entering the company email address at registration | Corporate Member, Corporate Premium, Corporate Privilege or Corporate Privilege Plus |
| Employee already enrolled | Request the switch in the personal area by entering the company email address | Corporate level from the confirmation email onward |
Employees who were already members can ask to move to a corporate level from their personal area by entering their company email address. [2] Corporate levels take effect from receipt of the confirmation email and are guaranteed for the whole duration of the corporate agreement. [2] If the employment relationship ends, the member stops receiving the corporate advantages and must promptly replace the company email address with a personal one, and if the corporate agreement itself ends, the level changes from the corporate version to the matching consumer level. [2]
Exceptions and limits when joining
- One code per person. If the same person ends up holding several Italo Più codes, only the one from the first registration stays valid, and points accumulated on codes assigned afterwards are deleted. [2]
- Late use of the code. Points are not recognized if the code is not given at purchase or within three minutes before departure, so a ticket bought without it cannot be credited afterwards. [2]
- Withdrawal. A member may leave free of charge at any time from the personal account on the website or by writing to [email protected]; from the moment Italo receives the notice, all accumulated points and the rights attached to the card and the level reached are lost, and the member is also taken out of prize events in progress. [2] Re-registration is possible through the website with the same username and a new password, but it does not restore the level or benefits held before withdrawal. [2]
- Exclusion. Italo may exclude members who breach even one provision of the rules, who behave inconsistently with it, or who gave false information at registration or later; exclusion is automatic where a code is used in fraudulent purchase transactions. [2] An excluded member cannot register again unless Italo decides otherwise, and points not yet used are canceled. [2]
- Travel requirement. A member must make at least one trip every six months within each qualifying period, and trips bought with award tickets do not count toward that minimum. [2]
- Co-branded card. Holders of the co-branded Italo American Express credit card are enrolled in the program on the same basic conditions as other members, and if the card expires or is given up, the member keeps the program membership with the level and conditions reached at that point. [2]
- Changing rules and applicable law. Italo may amend the rules at any point by publishing the new version on the website, and the rules are governed by Italian law with the Court of Rome having exclusive jurisdiction. [2]
Frequently asked questions
Is Italo Più free to join?
Yes. Enrollment is free for individuals who have reached 18 at the time of registration. [2]
Can you hold more than one Italo Più code?
No. Each participant may hold a single Italo Più code, and if several are assigned to the same person only the first one stays valid, with the points on the later ones deleted. [2]
What if your name or date of birth is wrong on the account?
Those fields cannot be changed in the personal area, so the correction has to be requested by email to [email protected] from the address used at registration. [2]
Can a company employee join with a work email address?
Yes, if the employer has signed a corporate agreement with Italo: entering the company email address at registration gives access to the corporate levels, which start from the confirmation email. [2]
What happens to your points if you stop traveling?
Members must take at least one trip every six months in each qualifying period, award-ticket trips excluded, and leaving the program costs all accumulated points. [2]
