How to redeem SLH Club Reward Nights

How do you earn an SLH Club Reward Night?

SLH Club sets a member's tier by the number of Qualifying Nights recorded in a Tier Period, which runs for twelve months from the date the member enters a tier. [1] The top tier, Club 03, is reached at least thirteen Qualifying Nights or a spend of over 6,000 USD within the Tier Period. [1]

A Reward Night is issued on entry to Club 03, and again each time the account reaches thirteen Qualifying Nights or over 6,000 USD and multiples of that threshold, such as twenty-four Qualifying Nights or 12,000 USD. [1] A notification about the issuance appears in the member's SLH Club account within fourteen days of qualifying as a Club 03 member. [1] The voucher carries a unique code and is dated on the day it is sent. [1] Provided the member meets the requirements, there is no limit to the number of Reward Nights that can be earned in a Tier Period. [1]

How do you book a Reward Night?

Every request must be pre-booked at least fourteen nights before check-in, directly by emailing [email protected]. [1] The email needs the SLH hotel name, arrival date, number of nights, number of adults, number of children and their ages, and the best way for SLH to contact the member including an approximate time and date. [1] SLH will endeavor to reply within seventy-two hours of receiving the request. [1]

The voucher can only be used against a one-night stay at an SLH hotel, only with new bookings, and only on the SLH Club Rate or the SLH Bonus Rate. [1] The SLH Club Rate is a member-only rate of approximately two percent off the best available rate. [1] A Reward Night cannot be attached to an existing reservation at an SLH hotel. [1] A maximum of five Reward Nights can be booked consecutively per SLH hotel, per stay. [1]

What does the voucher cover, and what do you pay yourself?

The voucher is worth 300 USD, described as the average value of a one-night stay at an SLH hotel. [1] If the standard double room rate for one night is higher than that value, or if the member chooses to upgrade the room type at the hotel, the member pays a supplement. [1] If a one-night stay costs less than 300 USD, no change is given. [1]

Where the voucher does not cover the full cost of the night, the balance is paid by the member in cash or by a valid debit or credit card at the hotel, and the hotel may ask for a debit or credit card deposit when it accepts the reservation or redeems the voucher. [1] The voucher cannot be used on food, beverages and other incidental costs, which are settled directly with the hotel before departure, and the member is responsible for arranging and paying for travel, travel insurance and travel documents. [1] If a voucher is issued in a currency other than the official currency of the hotel where it is redeemed, it is converted at full face value at the prevailing exchange rate offered by that hotel. Exceptions and limits

• Availability. Reward Nights are redeemable subject to availability at the discretion of the SLH hotel, and hotel availability for voucher redemption may differ from general online availability. [1] All benefits are subject to availability. [1]
• Expiry and single use. A voucher can be used once and is valid for twelve months from the date of issue; it must be redeemed on check-out of a reservation within that period and cannot be redeemed beyond it. [1]
• Changes and cancellation. Reward Night reservations are non-flexible: once SLH confirms the booking, no alterations or cancellations can be made, and a member who alters or cancels forfeits the Reward Night. [1]
• No cash value. Vouchers may not be exchanged wholly or partly for cash and no change is given, and benefits cannot be transferred to another member or membership number, with no cash alternative. [1]
• No tier credit for the night. When a Reward Night voucher is used during a stay, the night classed as the Reward Night does not count as a Qualifying Night toward tier status. [1]
• End of the program. If SLH terminates SLH Club under Condition 9.1 of its terms, members have three months from the date of termination to redeem and use accrued Reward Nights, and anything left unredeemed after that period is forfeited. [1]
• Not the same as a Complimentary Night. A Complimentary Night is awarded through a competition or prize draw and expressly excludes Reward Nights; the monthly free nights draw selects two winners who each win up to three Complimentary Nights. [1]
