FREQUENT FLYER GLOSSARY
Ineligible classes
Ineligible fare classes are booking classes a programme explicitly excludes from earning, typically the cheapest discount fares, award tickets and group fares.

Key takeaways
- In our verified rules, 6 programmes explicitly list classes that do not earn.
- "Not listed" is not the same as "not eligible": it depends on whether the source says so.
- We show "explicitly ineligible" and "not listed" separately; not-listed shows as unknown.
- Check the class letter before booking to avoid finding out after the flight.
Two kinds of no miles
Some partner charts say "classes not shown do not earn": that is explicitly ineligible. Others only list earning classes and say nothing about the rest: that is unspecified. You can rely on the first; we show the second as unknown.
