PROGRAMME PROFILE
Alaska Lounge: Programme Profile
Alaska Lounge is the airport lounge product associated with Alaska Airlines. A lounge-related access route is a pass provided as a benefit of an Atmos Rewards co-branded credit card. [5]
Facts checked: 18 October 2026
Key takeaways
- The lounge access route named in the Alaska and Atmos Rewards material is a pass supplied with a co-branded credit card. [5]
- The Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite card, launched with Atmos Rewards on 20 August 2025, lists Alaska Lounge passes among its travel perks. [5]
- A refreshed Atmos Rewards Visa Business Card, planned for late 2026, is also described as including lounge passes, but the source does not say which lounges those passes open. [4]
What the sources say about access
The Summit card is described as carrying exclusive travel perks, with Alaska Lounge passes listed alongside a Global Companion Award and accelerated earning, and the card carries an annual fee. [5] The same announcement gives no number of passes, no validity period for the passes, no list of airports and no guest allowance. [5]
For the business card, the September 2026 announcement says Alaska plans to refresh the Atmos Rewards Visa Business Card, issued by Bank of America, in late 2026, with benefits including 10x points on eligible purchases through Atmos Rewards for Business, lounge passes, free same-day confirmed flight changes and more. [4] The announcement adds that complete details would be available later that autumn, so the benefit is an announced plan rather than a published term, and the source does not name the lounge network involved. [4]
The one-page fact sheet on how members choose to earn points deals with flight earning methods and does not mention lounges at all. [2]
The programme behind the lounge
Alaska launched Atmos Rewards on 20 August 2025 as a combined programme bringing together Mileage Plan and HawaiianMiles. [5] On that date Mileage Plan members became Atmos Rewards members, keeping their existing account numbers with no action required, and Mileage Plan miles became points. [5] HawaiianMiles accounts moved across on 1 October 2025. [5] The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature and Visa Business cards were renamed the Atmos Rewards Ascent Visa Signature and Atmos Rewards Visa Business cards, with account numbers and benefits unchanged. [5]
Atmos Rewards is the current programme name; Mileage Plan is the former name. [5]
Alaska and Hawaiian are members of the oneworld alliance, and Atmos Rewards members can earn and redeem points with oneworld airlines and other global partners. [4]
Card-linked passes and what they are not
Both lounge references describe a pass attached to a card product rather than a feature of Atmos Rewards membership as such. [4] [5]
Several described benefits are easy to confuse with lounge access. The Summit card's Global Companion Award and accelerated status earning are separate perks, and the planned business-card refresh lists same-day confirmed flight changes next to lounge passes. [4] [5] None of these is lounge entry in itself. [4] [5]
For holders of the renamed consumer and business cards, Alaska listed free checked bags, the Companion Fare and 3x points on eligible Alaska and Hawaiian purchases among select benefits, and that list does not mention lounge passes. [5] Because the source introduces the list with "including", it does not establish that those cards carry no lounge benefit, and this page makes no claim either way. [5]
Exceptions and limits
- Unstated terms.
- Forward-looking benefit. The business-card lounge passes belong to a refresh planned for late 2026, with complete details promised later in autumn 2026, so until those terms appear the benefit is announced rather than confirmed. [4]
- Card-holder scope. Both lounge references sit inside descriptions of specific Bank of America-issued Atmos Rewards cards, so they say nothing about entry for a traveller who holds no such card. [4] [5]
- Rename risk. Mileage Plan-era documents predate the 20 August 2025 launch and use programme and card names that no longer apply. [5]
- Nearby ground benefits. The September 2026 announcement mentions a dedicated Titanium check-in facility in Seattle and, beginning 2 November, the ability for Platinum and Titanium members to bring eligible children and one companion into Premium Class when space is available; the first is described as a check-in facility and the second as a cabin benefit, and neither is presented as lounge access.
