Club Eurostar: Reward Points, Status Points and ticket rules

Club Eurostar tracks redeemable Reward Points separately from Status Points. The passenger must be the named member, the account number must be correct and the journey must be completed.

Know what each balance does

Reward Points can be spent under Club Eurostar's reward-ticket terms. Status Points track level progress. Points from some partners do not count toward Club Level, so partner earnings should not be treated as status credit.

Earning on travel

Under the current terms, the member must be the named passenger, use the correct membership number and complete the trip. Eligible earning is based on the Eurostar portion of the ticket and the applicable currency rules; fees may be excluded. A combined Eurostar and Deutsche Bahn ticket earns only on the Eurostar service portion.

Add the number during booking. The terms allow a ticket to be added to an online membership account within a limited period after travel if it was missed. For Train + Hotel bookings, the lead passenger is generally the only person who earns on that booking.

Reward tickets and points payments

Eurostar says a ticket paid entirely with points earns no Reward or Status Points. A ticket paid partly with points earns only on the cash portion. Reward-ticket products, classes and route availability vary, so check the exact date, direction, passenger and change conditions before transferring or spending points.

Before you book

  • Make sure the account name matches the passenger on the ticket.
  • Add each travelling member's number to their own eligible booking.
  • Keep Reward Points and Status Points separate in your records.
  • Check the current earning and expiry rules in the terms.
  • Compare a reward ticket with the cash fare using the same route and conditions.
