How to redeem MyMillennium points for hotel stays

How do you redeem MyPoints for a hotel stay?

Redemption is a self-service step in the account rather than a request by email: members redeem their MyPoints for rewards online by logging in to their member account. [1] The redemption is at all times subject to applicable law and to the program terms, and a member must have the required number of MyPoints in the account before attempting to redeem. [1] All offers and rewards are subject to availability. [1]

In practice the path looks like this:

1. Sign in to the MyMillennium account and confirm the points balance covers the reward you want. [1]
2. Pick the hotel room stay, or the voucher, from the rewards shown for the eligible period. [1]
3. Check the MyPoints needed and any cash balance payable, which are published on the MyMillennium Website. [1]
4. Complete the redemption, after which the MyPoints concerned are shown as redeemed and are deducted from the account. [1]

Reward prices are not fixed indefinitely: Millennium & Copthorne International Limited, trading as Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR), reserves the right to delete, add, modify or substitute the rewards and the number of MyPoints required for them at any time. [1] Once MyPoints are listed as redeemed they are deducted from the account and can no longer be redeemed or transferred. [1]

What can you book with MyPoints?

MyPoints may be used for a hotel room stay at Participating Hotels, for Redemption Partners' vouchers (physical or electronic), and for MHR Group vouchers (electronic). [1] Participating Hotels are hotels operated by an MHR Group company or by a third-party franchisee under the Leng's Collection, Millennium Collection, Copthorne Collection or M Collection brands, and brands may be added or removed at MHR's discretion. [1] The published list of Participating Hotels and the countries they sit in is shown on the program website and can change. [1]

The points needed for a given room or item, and the balance cash amount payable where a member has insufficient MyPoints and the redemption is therefore partly by MyPoints and partly by cash, are published and updated online from time to time on the MyMillennium Website. [1] Those figures sit alongside further conditions that may be stated on the website, in the confirmation email or on the voucher itself. [1] Redemption Partners are independent merchants selected by MHR, may vary from country to country, and are not agents of MHR. [1]

What conditions apply to an award stay?

The program terms were last updated effective 1 November 2024 and may be amended from time to time. [1]

• Availability first. Every offer and reward is subject to availability, and the hotel may apply its own booking terms and conditions. [1]
• No earning on a reward stay. A redemption for a hotel stay is not entitled to any MyPoints. [1] More broadly, MyPoints are not awarded for hotel stays on which frequent flyer program miles are earned, and the reverse also applies. [1]
• Cancellation. If a reward redemption is canceled, the MyPoints used for the reservation are credited back to the member as per the cancellation policy if permissible, and any cash paid is refunded if permissible. [1]
• Currency of a cash refund. Where the cash element was paid in a currency other than the local currency of the hotel or item, the amount refunded may be less or more than what was paid, depending on the exchange rate used by the MHR Group at the relevant time. [1]
• Tax. Any tax liability connected with receiving or using MyPoints or rewards is the member's responsibility. [1]
• One program at a time. The program cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or rewards program. [1]

Exceptions and limits

• Points expiry. MyPoints, including Double MyPoints and Triple MyPoints, are valid for a 12-month period ending on the last day of the relevant expiry month based on Singapore time; the terms give the example that points earned on 1 November 2024 are valid until 30 November 2025. [1] Points awarded from completed MyMillennium surveys expire within three months of the transaction date. [1] Points also lapse earlier if the account lapses or is canceled, or if the program is terminated. [1]
• You cancel your membership. A member has 30 days from MHR's receipt of the notice of termination to redeem unexpired MyPoints; after that date unredeemed points are invalid and deemed forfeited. [1]
• MHR cancels the membership. MHR may cancel a membership and revoke unredeemed MyPoints for reasons that include breaching the terms, misuse of the program, fraud or abuse, holding more than one active account, and failing to pay hotel charges. [1]
• Inactive accounts. MHR reserves the right to cancel an account without notice if it has been inactive for a continuous period of 24 months or more. [1]
• Program termination. Members may redeem earned MyPoints for rewards up to 90 days after the date of a termination notice, and points not redeemed within that period are forfeited. [1]
• No cash value, limited transfer. MyPoints have no fixed or ascertainable cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of credit. [1] A member may ask to transfer MyPoints to other members through the website or customer service, with up to six members nominated, and each request is at MyMillennium's sole discretion. [1]
