What can you book with Qatar Airways Avios?

[3] Award flights carry taxes and carrier-imposed fees starting from USD 30 as of 18 October 2026, and those amounts may vary with travel dates and exchange rates. If you plan to fly into one city and home from another, each direction can be priced as its own one-way award in the calculator before you commit. Privilege Deals, the reduced-rate awards Qatar Airways releases on selected flights, routes and dates, are priced on an origin-and-destination basis, so members can redeem between any Qatar Airways destination and the featured destination in either direction, subject to availability. [4] Changing a booking to a flight or date that is not a Privilege Deals option reprices it at the standard award Avios level, and extra Avios and fees may apply. [4]

How do partner awards work?

Qatar Airways lists British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Qantas, Fiji Airways and Hawaiian Airlines among the oneworld airlines, and Airlink, Philippine Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Virgin Australia, Garuda Indonesia and LATAM among the other airline partners, that members can earn Avios with. [5] On a partner award, Avios are only part of the cost: you also pay duty and tax surcharges, passenger and carrier service charges, visa costs and any other airport, customs or government fees. [4]

For American Airlines, when spending Avios on a First Class domestic flight in the United States on a two-cabin aircraft, Privilege Club asks members to select Business Class, because the same number of Avios as a Business Class flight applies. [3] On British Airways, the Avios needed for peak and off-peak travel periods are different, but the taxes, fees and charges stay the same regardless of the travel period. [3]

Avios Plus Cash can be used for award tickets on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways and on flights operated by partner airlines, but not for upgrades. [4] Part-paying with Avios saves up to 50% of the cash amount on flight tickets purchasable with Qatar Airways, and no Avios are earned on the cash component. [2] [4]

Can you combine Privilege Club and British Airways Avios?

Members who link a Qatar Airways Privilege Club account with a British Airways Executive Club account can redeem Avios from either or both accounts for award tickets or Cash + Avios without moving them first, drawn in proportion to each balance, from Privilege Club first, or from the Executive Club first. [2] Avios moved between linked accounts are credited at 1:1 immediately, with no fee and no minimum or maximum amount. [2] Linking requires membership of both programmes and an age of at least 18, the personal details on both accounts must match, and the option opens 30 days after an account is created; one account of each can be linked at a time, and a Privilege Club account can link to an Executive Club account a maximum of twice in any 50-year period. Changes and refunds of award tickets and Cash + Avios tickets bought this way are only supported offline, and refunded Avios are credited to the Privilege Club account. [2] Members can also add existing Privilege Club members to their My List and spend Avios on award flights for them, and the Family Programme lets up to ten family members pool Avios in the Main Member's account. Exceptions and limits

• Privilege Deals reduced rates apply only to flights clearly marked as Privilege Deals; other award flights in the same booking are charged at standard award rates, and Privilege Deals cannot be combined with other Avios offers or promotions. [4]
• Only flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways qualify for Privilege Deals, so oneworld and partner-operated flights are not eligible. [4] A Privilege Deals booking can be changed or cancelled up to three hours before departure and fees may apply, but a change means cancelling the booking and making a new one online. [4]
• Award upgrades are limited to flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways on a ticket number starting with 157; Economy Promo fares in booking classes W and G are not eligible, and redemption tickets cannot be upgraded with Avios or Qcredits. [4]
• Cabin upgrades are not available for infants under two or for children travelling alone, and a child must be accompanied by an adult over 16 on the same booking. [4]
