How do you earn Status Miles and Reward Miles?

Safar Flyer uses two mile currencies: Reward Miles, used for awards such as award tickets, Business Class upgrades and excess baggage, and Status Miles, which determine the member’s Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum level. [4] Reward Miles can be earned on Royal Air Maroc flights, on flights of oneworld airline partners, on Etihad Airways and S7 Airlines, and through non-airline partners. [4] Status Miles are earned on Royal Air Maroc flights and on oneworld partner airline flights. [4] Status Miles are valid for the calendar year from 1 January to 31 December. [4]

What benefits does Safar Flyer Gold include?

Gold status is equivalent to oneworld Sapphire status. [3] Silver, Gold and Platinum members benefit from status recognition on flights marketed and operated by other oneworld member airlines according to their corresponding oneworld status. [5] They must present their membership card and mention their membership number when booking travel with other oneworld member airlines. [5] oneworld benefits are offered by oneworld and the airline in question, and Royal Air Maroc disclaims responsibility for modifications or provision of those benefits by oneworld or other airlines. [5]

What are the exceptions and limits?

  • The Gold calendar-year total must include at least 17,500 Status Miles and/or 10 Status flights on flights marketed and operated by Royal Air Maroc. [3] [5]
  • Gold members retain Gold with 32,000 Status Miles or 28 regular Royal Air Maroc flights in a calendar year, and the same 17,500 Status Miles and/or 10 Royal Air Maroc flights minimum applies to achieve or renew Gold. [3]
  • Award tickets, and unused, confiscated, fraudulent, lost, expired or refunded tickets, are excluded from Mile accumulation. [5]
