SNCF Grand Voyageur: points and benefits for frequent rail travel

Grand Voyageur is invitation-based. Check whether you qualify, which train products earn Points Prime and the distinct exchange rules for each reward-ticket type.

Membership is invitation-based

SNCF Connect describes Grand Voyageur as a programme for frequent travellers. An invitation may depend on qualifying spend and holding an eligible discount card or subscription. You must accept the invitation within the period stated in the email; a standard ticket purchase does not necessarily make you eligible to enrol immediately.

What Points Prime can do

Members can use Points Prime for train tickets for themselves or others, discounts on selected TGV INOUI services, or donations. SNCF's English FAQ says Points Prime normally remain valid for three years from posting, while certain promotional points may have a different validity period.

Reward tickets have different conditions

SNCF distinguishes Prime, Prime promo and international Prime tickets. The FAQ describes different one-way or return availability, exchange rules and payment options for each. A Prime ticket may be exchangeable but non-refundable; a Prime promo ticket is non-exchangeable and non-refundable; international Prime products have separate return-trip conditions. Read the conditions shown for your selected reward before confirming.

Grand Voyageur Le Club benefits

The Le Club tier adds benefits such as access to Grand Voyageur TGV INOUI lounges, a dedicated service line and a guaranteed exchange service for eligible exchangeable fares. Availability and eligibility depend on the station, train and fare; do not assume the benefit applies network-wide.

Before using the programme

  • Check whether an invitation is required and confirm your account communications settings.
  • Review the eligible train products for earning; TER, Transilien and OUIGO may be excluded from some earning categories.
  • Track the expiry date for standard and promotional points separately.
  • Confirm whether the reward is Prime, Prime promo or international Prime.
  • Verify the station, train and fare before relying on lounge or exchange benefits.
