COURSE
Start here: Celebrity Captain's Club — joining, earning Club Points, Points Choice, tiers and milestones
Captain's Club is the loyalty program offered and administered by Celebrity Cruises Inc. for its Celebrity Cruises brand, in which members earn Club Points to reach tier status from Preview to Zenith [1]. This course runs through the program in six steps and ends with a short checklist of actions to take before your next booking [1].
Facts checked: 19 October 2026
Key takeaways
- Club Points are awarded at the stateroom category rate paid, not the category berthed, so complimentary or reduced-rate upgrades add nothing [1].
- The Member Number must be on the reservation at the time of booking, and points post within 30 business days of disembarkation [1].
- Tiers run from Preview at 0 Club Points to Zenith at 3,000 or more [1].
What you will be able to do after this course
- Check whether you are eligible to join and choose the enrollment route that fits.
- Work out what a given stateroom category pays per night, and what does not pay at all.
- Explain when a points transfer is possible and what is lost by requesting one.
- Read your own tier, relationship linking and milestone position against the printed ranges.
Step 1: What Captain's Club is and who it suits
You will learn: who runs the program and how it sits among the Royal Caribbean Group programs.
Captain's Club is offered and administered by Celebrity Cruises Inc. in connection with Celebrity Cruises [1]. It is one of the Royal Caribbean Group loyalty programs, operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and its subsidiaries, alongside Crown & Anchor Society and Venetian Society, which together are the Partner Programs [1]. Members receive exclusive access, booking benefits and onboard privileges, and it suits people sailing on Company ships, since points accrue only at the end of a completed Sailing [1].

Step 2: Joining and keeping your account
You will learn: who can join, how enrollment happens and what can end an account.
Membership is free and open to any natural person aged 18 or over with legal capacity, residing where participation is permitted, giving valid and accurate information, not already a member and not previously terminated by the Company or a Partner Program; corporations, groups and associations cannot join [1]. Eligible guests are enrolled automatically on completion of their first sailing, and earlier enrollment is through the Celebrity Cruises app, the website, or phone at 1-800-760-0654 from the U.S. or Canada or 1-316-554-5961 from elsewhere [1]. The Member Number assigned at enrollment is what makes Club Points, Solo Traveler Points, Power Up Points and Go Green Bonus Points earnable [1].
Accounts are individual: no joint or shared accounts even in one household, no duplicates, no transfer of benefits unless stated, and members must promptly report credits they did not earn [1]. A member may cancel by written notice to Member Support, forfeiting all points, Tier status and Benefits immediately and permanently, with nothing restored on a later reapplication [1].
Go deeper: the cruise loyalty missing-credit claim guide, and the cruise loyalty first-cruise checklist.
Step 3: Earning Club Points
You will learn: which sailings earn, the nightly rate by stateroom and the extra awards on top.
A Sailing, for earning, is any sailing on a Company ship during which members are eligible to earn Club Points equal to its length; it excludes sailings purchased at a reduced cruise fare, including employee vacation, friends and family, travel agent, vendor and interline rates, charters, net rates, non-revenue sailings such as speakers or employees, Seminar at Sea and other sailings the Company designates [1]. Points are awarded at the stateroom category rate paid, not berthed, so complimentary, promotional or reduced-rate upgrades, including through MoveUp, add nothing [1]. They accrue at the end of each completed Sailing and post within 30 business days of disembarkation, cannot be earned or applied mid-sailing, and require the Member Number on the reservation at the time of booking [1]. City Stays, Book & Go and other vacation packages earn nothing [1].
Nightly rates on ocean cruises: Inside and Ocean View 2 Club Points; Veranda and Infinite Veranda 3; Concierge Class and AquaClass 5; Panoramic Ocean View Suite, Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View Suite, Panoramic with Infinite Veranda Suite, Sky Suite, Aqua Sky Suite, Magic Carpet Sky Suite and Sunset Sky Suite 8; Celebrity, Signature, Horizon and Royal Suite 12; Reflection, Penthouse and Edge Villa 18; Iconic Suite 24 [1]. On Galapagos cruises: Sky Suite with Veranda 8; Sky Suite, Premium Sky Suite and Ultimate Sky Suite with Infinite Veranda 12; Royal Suite and Penthouse 18 [1]. On river cruises: River View and Infinite Balcony 8; Balcony 12; Skylight Infinite Balcony and Vista Balcony Suites 18 [1].
Printed as written: the table marks "Reflection, Penthouse & Edge Villa*" and "Iconic Suite**" with no footnote text, while the Supplemental Terms state that on sailings that returned prior to February 12, 2022 Edge Villas earned 12 and the Iconic Suite 18 points per night [1].
On top of the standard rate, Cruisetour days earn additional Club Point(s) per day at the standard rate for the stateroom category [1]. A single traveler paying single pricing in any stateroom at double occupancy receives Solo Traveler Points equal to the standard nightly rate, for double the standard award [1]. Power Up Points for non-sailing activities such as webinars, surveys and bookings, which members residing in select countries may be eligible to earn subject to the terms of the applicable activity, convert at 10:1 monthly, post within 14 days of the month's end, are rounded up to the nearest whole Club Point and are awarded once per member per activity [1]. Go Green Bonus Points equal one night at the standard rate for the category sailed, with opt-in online before the Sailing or onboard on embarkation day; one member per stateroom opting in covers the whole stateroom, and no Go Green Bonus Points are awarded if any guest opts out before the Sailing concludes [1]. Bonus Club Points offers are not combinable with each other, so two or more qualifying offers pay the best rate as the Company determines [1].

Step 4: Moving points with Points Choice and status match
You will learn: how status matches across the group and how Points Choice moves points.
Under the Loyalty Status Match Rules, members enrolled in a Partner Program and in Captain's Club receive complimentary Member Level status across the program and the Partner Programs, matching the program where they completed the qualification requirements for the highest Member Level [1]. Points Choice is separate: a member may submit a Points Transfer Request to convert Partner Points, such as Crown & Anchor Cruise Points or Venetian Society VS Days, into Club Points or the reverse at a designated exchange rate, using the Points Transfer Form [1]. Club Points to Partner Points requests are made on the Points Choice page of the website; Partner Points to Club Points requests must be initiated with the applicable Partner Program [1]. Timing as printed: section 4.3 says a request may be made "at any time prior to the Sailing on which the Club Points or Partner Points, as applicable, will be earned, up to fourteen (14) days following their completion thereof" [1].
The 2026 table gives, per night, Club Points, Crown & Anchor points and Venetian Society days: Iconic Suite 24, 2, 1; Reflection, Penthouse and Edge Villa 18, 2, 1; Celebrity, Signature, Horizon and Royal Suite 12, 2, 1; Panoramic and Sky Suites 8, 2, 1; Concierge and Aqua Class 5, 2, and 1 VS Day for every 2 nights; Veranda and Infinite Veranda 3, 1, and 1 VS Day for every 3 nights; Inside and Ocean View 2, 1, and 1 VS Day for every 4 nights; rates are published annually [1]. Partner Points convert to Club Points at the rate on the VS or CAS Points Choice webpage [1].
A member must belong to both programs and may transfer only between their own accounts, never to another individual, and the account holder name must match in both accounts for the transfer to post [1]. Bonus Club Points, Go Green Bonus Points and Solo Traveler Points cannot be transferred and are forfeited when a request is submitted for that Sailing, while Power Up Points and Club Points converted from them are excluded from Points Choice; all Club Points from a Sailing must move, no partial transfers are permitted, no partial Partner Points are awarded and any fraction is rounded down, and Club Points can be transferred only once and must have been earned on a Company Sailing [1]. In most cases transferred Club Points post within up to 30 days of the Company's receipt of the form and completion of the Partner Program sailing; once requested, cancellation, changes, reissuance and refunds are not allowed, and the receiving program's terms then apply [1].
Go deeper: Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society, and Royal Caribbean and Celebrity reciprocal loyalty.
Step 5: Tiers, relationship linking and milestones
You will learn: the six tiers, household linking, and what milestones and status matching unlock.
Tier status is reached on Club Points: Preview (0), Classic (2–149), Select (150–299), Elite (300–749), Elite Plus (750–2,999) and Zenith (3,000+) [1]. Printed as written: the ranges begin at Preview (0 Club Points) and Classic (2–149 Club Points), so a balance of exactly 1 Club Point falls in no printed range, although Power Up Points convert to Club Points rounded up to the nearest whole Club Point [1].
A member may link accounts with another member in the same household with an established Relationship by calling Member Support at 1-800-760-0654 from the U.S. or Canada or 1-316-554-5961 from elsewhere; a Relationship is a spouse or significant other, and up to two accounts may be linked per household [1]. Each earns at the standard rate but linked members share access to the Club Points and Tier of whichever has the higher balance [1].
Milestones sit at 1,500, 2,250, 3,000, 6,000 and 9,000 Club Points, activate automatically and apply to future Sailings only, never retroactively; they stay active until the next Milestone, except the 9,000 level, which is final and continues, and Milestone Benefits apply to future Sailings departing on or after June 11, 2026 [1]. Status matching does not unlock everything: members given complimentary Tier status through the Loyalty Status Match Program, or holding Tier status without earning the corresponding Club Points, are not eligible for the CC Excluded Benefits until those points are earned, including Milestone Benefits, complimentary cruises for Zenith members, the Zenith Black Seapass Card, Zenith Lunch, Zenith Milestone Kits, WWF donations and Retreat Lounge access when not staying in the Retreat, subject to availability and the Company's sole discretion [1].
Zenith complimentary staterooms are one veranda stateroom at 3,000 points, one AquaClass stateroom at 6,000 and one Sky Suite at 9,000 and every additional 3,000 points thereafter, on select 7-night Caribbean or Bermuda cruises, with taxes, fees, gratuities and other enhancements additional, subject to availability and blackout dates, and they expire unless redeemed within one year of reaching the threshold; single travelers pay the companion fare [1]. The one-category upgrade cannot be booked online: it must be requested at the time of booking through a Celebrity Cruises representative or a travel advisor, subject to availability within the same supercategory, from categories 11 to A1 on all Celebrity ships except Galapagos voyages, excludes categories IS, ES, SV, UV, SC, UC, PO, DO, DI, DV, Z, Y, X, EX, XC, XA and W, cannot be used with restricted fares such as Exciting Deals, Interline, travel agent or employee rates, applies to one stateroom per cruise, is for stateroom assignments only and is not valid on holiday sailings [1].

Step 6: Your first concrete action
You will learn: five actions to take from this page.
- Give your Member Number when you book, because it must be on the reservation at the time of booking [1].
- Book the stateroom category you will pay for, and treat any later complimentary or MoveUp upgrade as earning nothing extra [1].
- Opt into Go Green online before the Sailing or on embarkation day, and note that one guest opting out ends the bonus for the stateroom [1].
- If you hold status in Crown & Anchor Society or Venetian Society, check the Loyalty Status Match and which benefits wait until Club Points are earned [1].
- Before requesting a Points Transfer, confirm the names match on both accounts and that all Club Points from the Sailing can move, since Bonus, Go Green and Solo Traveler Points are forfeited [1].
Next: check your own position against the Celebrity Captain's Club program hub, read the Captain's Club Terms & Conditions (effective May 28, 2026), and work through the cruise loyalty first-cruise checklist.
