COURSE

Start here: MyMillennium — join, earn and redeem MyPoints, and reach Silver or Prestige

MyMillennium is the loyalty programme of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, sponsored by Millennium & Copthorne International Limited, in which members earn MyPoints from eligible room, incidental and dining spend at Participating Hotels [1]. This six-step course explains who can join, how MyPoints are earned and redeemed, how MM Silver and MM Prestige are reached, and how MyPoints remain valid, ending with a first concrete action [1].

Facts checked: 19 October 2026

Key takeaways

  • MyMillennium is sponsored by MHR and rewards qualifying hotel stays and dining at Participating Hotels with MyPoints [1].
  • Members earn 10, 15 or 20 MyPoints per US$1.00 by tier on qualifying room, incidental and in-house guest dining spend, while non-staying F&B guests earn 5 MyPoints per US$1.00 if they submit receipts in the app within 72 hours [1].
  • MyPoints can be redeemed online for hotel stays, Redemption Partners’ vouchers and MHR Group vouchers, with points-plus-cash where MyPoints are insufficient [1].
  • MM Silver requires 10 qualifying nights or USD$625 dining spend and MM Prestige 20 nights or USD$1,250 in the membership year [1].
  • MyPoints are valid for a twelve (12)-month period as section 4.4 states, and can lapse earlier if the account lapses or is cancelled, or the programme ends [1].

What you will be able to do after this course

  • Explain what MyMillennium is and check whether you are eligible to join.
  • Identify the earning categories and exclusions that affect a stay or a meal.
  • Redeem MyPoints and understand the limits on transfers and cash value.
  • Track the nights or F&B spend needed for MM Silver or MM Prestige, then take a first eligible action.

Step 1: What MyMillennium is and who it suits

You will learn: what MyMillennium is, which hotel brands take part, and who the programme is designed for.

MyMillennium “recognises and rewards its frequent hotel guests worldwide” [1]. It is sponsored by MHR, meaning Millennium & Copthorne International Limited, a Singapore-incorporated company trading as Millennium Hotels and Resorts [1]. Only hotels operated by an MHR Group company or a third-party franchisee under Leng’s Collection, Millennium Collection, Copthorne Collection or M Collection may participate [1].

MHR may change, limit, modify or cancel the programme, the terms, benefits and privileges, Participating Hotels, conditions of participation, rewards and reward levels in whole or part [1]. It may restrict, suspend, discontinue or cancel any part or all of the programme on thirty (30) days’ written notice; after that no points claims are accepted, unapproved claims are invalid, and members have 90 days from the Termination Notice to redeem earned MyPoints before unredeemed points are forfeited [1]. The programme is not offered where participation is prohibited or restricted by law [1], and MHR’s interpretation of the terms is final and binding [1]. The terms are governed by the laws of Singapore [1].

MyMillennium suits guests who stay at Participating Hotels or dine at participating F&B outlets: earning covers qualifying room spend, incidental spend and in-house guest dining, and non-staying guests can earn on F&B spend [1].

Step 2: How to join

You will learn: who may register, what the Membership ID is, and how membership can end.

New members are enrolled after registering online or through the MyMillennium application form available at Participating Hotels, once MHR accepts the application [1]. A would-be member must be an individual traveller or corporate guest, at least 18 or the age of majority in their residence if older, and only one account per member is allowed [1]. Travel agents, conference agents, corporate bookers and their secretaries, staff or personal assistants are excluded, except MyMillennium BIZ Members [1]. The Membership ID is a 16-digit member identification number or such other identification as MHR may provide [1].

Using the Membership ID to make reservations implies acceptance of the latest terms at the time of use, and members must restrict access to and keep their account and Membership ID confidential [1]. MHR may refuse any application and may cancel a membership and revoke unredeemed MyPoints and accrued rewards or benefits for listed reasons, including terms violations, misrepresentation, misuse, unlawful use, failure to pay hotel charges, fraud or abuse, holding more than one active account, or conduct MHR considers detrimental to the programme [1]. A member may cancel by written notice to MyMillennium Customer Service and then has 30 days from MHR’s receipt of the notice to redeem unexpired MyPoints, after which unredeemed MyPoints are forfeited [1]. MHR may also cancel, without notice, an account inactive for a continuous period of 24 months or more [1]. The official terms are published at millenniumhotels.com [1].

Step 3: How earning works

You will learn: how MyPoints are calculated, what counts as Qualifying Room Spend and Qualifying Nights, and which bookings do not earn.

MM Classic members earn 10 MyPoints, MM Silver 15 and MM Prestige 20 for every US$1.00 of Qualifying Room Spend, Incidental Spend and In-House Guest Dining, excluding tax at Participating Hotels [1]. Non-staying guests earn 5 MyPoints per US$1.00 of F&B Spend excluding tax at Participating F&B Outlets, with no minimum spend, but must scan and submit receipts in the MyMillennium app within 72 hours [1]. Total accumulated MyPoints are doubled for members who stay ten nights, for the first ten nights regardless of the length of stay, capped at 100 nights per calendar year [1]. Stays checked in and out during the birthday month are tripled if the date of birth is on the member profile, capped at one room booking per member on the stay with the highest spend [1]. Profile activities award 250 MyPoints for downloading the app, 250 for updating the profile and 500 for opting in to marketing; section 4.1 describes these as “valid from 3 months of awarding”, while section 4.4 says they “will expire within three months of transaction date” [1].

Only the member who booked and is the main stayer earns, and the Membership ID must be quoted at booking and at check-in and/or when settling the bill at check-out [1]. No MyPoints are awarded for stays earning frequent flyer programme miles, online travel agency bookings, items redeemed with MyPoints or third-party platform bookings [1]. Multiple rooms earn if all eligible charges are paid on one invoice [1]. Spend before enrolment cannot be claimed, adjustments are not made more than 60 days after the event, and receipts and invoices must be kept [1]. Qualifying Room Spend excludes taxes, service charges and other levies, gratuities, concierge and non-hotel expenditures, complimentary rooms, third-party or OTA rates, airline or travel-industry discounts, airline crew rates paid by the airline, group convention or corporate meeting rates and selected long-term stays [1]. For non-US Dollar spend MHR chooses the exchange rate at its sole discretion, does not guarantee its accuracy, and the calculation is final and binding [1]. Qualifying Nights are room nights registered to a member where at least one night was paid at eligible rates; if members share a room, only the paying member receives the Qualifying Night [1].

Step 4: How to redeem MyPoints

You will learn: what MyPoints can be redeemed for, how points-plus-cash works, and the limits on transfers.

Members redeem online in their member account for hotel room stays at Participating Hotels, Redemption Partners’ vouchers (physical or electronic) and/or MHR Group vouchers (electronic) [1]. They must hold the required MyPoints before attempting a redemption, all offers and rewards are subject to availability, and MHR may delete, add, modify or substitute rewards and the MyPoints required at any time [1]. Where MyPoints are insufficient, section 6.2 provides for part payment by MyPoints and part by cash, with the MyPoints required and cash balance published and updated online [1].

If a redemption is cancelled, MyPoints are credited back as per the cancellation policy if permissible and cash is refunded if permissible; a cash refund in a currency other than the hotel’s or item’s local currency may fluctuate with the exchange rate used by MHR Group or for the item at the relevant time [1]. Redemption stays earn no MyPoints [1]. MyPoints have no fixed or ascertainable cash value, cannot be purchased, sold, bartered, pledged or transferred except as authorised in writing by MHR or expressly permitted, and unauthorised transfer violates the terms [1]. A member may request a transfer through the website or MyMillennium Customer Service and any prescribed form; up to six Members may be nominated, the request cannot be cancelled or revoked, and approval is at MyMillennium’s sole and absolute discretion [1]. Redeemed MyPoints can no longer be redeemed or transferred, and MyPoints and rewards may create tax liability for the member [1].

Go deeper: Hotel points versus cash for comparing a redemption with a cash booking, and the points value calculator for working through the arithmetic.

Step 5: Status and keeping your MyPoints

You will learn: the night and dining thresholds for MM Silver and MM Prestige, how requalification works, and when MyPoints expire.

MM Classic status is free to join [1]. MM Silver is awarded to members who stay at least 10 qualifying nights or spend USD$625 on dining within their membership year, and MM Prestige to those who stay at least 20 qualifying nights or spend USD$1,250 within their membership year [1]. A membership year is one year from the member’s enrolment or qualification [1]. MM Silver status can be earned and maintained on qualifying nights or dining spend during the membership year, and failure to meet those criteria results in a downgrade to MM Classic [1].

To requalify for MM Prestige, a member must stay an additional 20 nights or spend USD$1,250 by the last day of the membership year; members who fail to qualify are downgraded to MM Silver or MM Classic depending on nights stayed or F&B spend [1]. Section 7.1.3 gives the example of a member who qualifies for MM Prestige on 1 November 2024: the membership year is 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, and the member must stay at least 20 nights or spend US$1,250 by 31 October 2025 to requalify, with the Prestige membership period extended by one year from the date of requalification [1].

MyPoints, including Double MyPoints and Triple MyPoints, are valid for a twelve (12)-month period (on the last day of the relevant expiry month based on Singapore time), except that they lapse earlier if the member’s account lapses, is cancelled, or the programme is terminated for any reason [1]. Section 4.4 gives the example that MyPoints earned on 1 November 2024 are valid until 30 November 2025 [1]. MyPoints awarded from completed surveys and for profile activities expire within three months of transaction date, while section 4.1 describes bonus MyPoints from profile activities as “valid from 3 months of awarding” [1].

Step 6: Your first concrete action

You will learn: the first practical sequence to follow after reading the rules.

  1. Join. MM Classic status is free; register online or through the application form at Participating Hotels, remembering that only one account per member is allowed official MyMillennium terms [1].
  2. Book an eligible rate. Avoid online travel agency and third-party platform bookings, and quote your Membership ID at booking and again at check-in and/or when settling the bill at check-out [1].
  3. For dining without a stay, scan and submit the receipt in the MyMillennium app within 72 hours [1].
  4. Check your statement. Raise any missing MyPoints within 60 days after the event, and keep receipts and invoices [1].
  5. Watch the clock. MyPoints last for the twelve (12)-month period in section 4.4, and an account inactive for 24 months or more may be cancelled [1].

With the account open and a first eligible stay or meal recorded, the next useful step is to choose the Flyerfolio guide that matches what you want to do with the MyPoints.
