Capital One Venture Rewards: Terms, Credits and Benefits

What does Venture Rewards cost and earn?

Capital One presents the 2X rate as unlimited miles on every purchase, every day, and the card page caps the annual fee at $95 with an excellent-credit requirement. [1] The higher 5X rate is tied to bookings made through Capital One Travel rather than to travel bought elsewhere. [1] Cardholders also earn 5X miles on tickets bought on the Capital One Entertainment ticketing platform; tickets bought directly through Capital One Hall or Capital One Arena ticketing services are excluded. Capital One was listing a limited-time welcome offer on the same page on 18 October 2026: 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening. [1] The bonus is one-time, is applied to the rewards balance within two billing cycles once earned, and is not available to applicants who received a new cardmember bonus for the Capital One Venture card or the Capital One Venture X card in the previous 48 months. How do you redeem Venture Rewards miles?

Miles can be used to book flights, hotels and other travel through Capital One Travel, to reimburse recent travel purchases made with the card, or for cash back as a statement credit or a cheque. [1] Capital One also lists gift cards, Capital One Entertainment experiences, PayPal purchases and Amazon.com purchases as redemption routes. [1] The page states that redemption rates for these options may vary and are subject to change, and that statement credits lower the account balance but cannot be used to meet minimum payment obligations. For travel booked with miles, Capital One advertises no blackout dates and no seat restrictions. [1] Miles can also be moved to travel loyalty programmes, and once a transfer is final the expiry and value of the transferred rewards are governed by the receiving programme rather than by Capital One. Which credits and travel protections come with the card?

Travel Stays credit. Under the offer listed on 18 October 2026, eligible primary account holders receive a one-time $300 credit for hotel and vacation rental purchases made through Capital One Travel. [1] The credit expires one year after account opening, may be used in full on one purchase or in part across several, and does not earn rewards; if a purchase paid with the credit is cancelled the credit is restored only while it remains unexpired. Lifestyle Collection stays. Cardholders get a $50 experience credit on each Lifestyle Collection booking, applied to qualifying charges at checkout for hotels or at the time of booking for vacation rentals, alongside complimentary Wi-Fi and, when available, room upgrades, early check-in and late checkout. [1] The booking must be made through Capital One Travel in the cardholder's name, with the cardholder travelling, and the credit cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other offers unless specified. Expedited screening and car rental status. The card offers up to a $120 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, processed once per account every four years when the application fee is paid with the card, and posted within two billing cycles while the account is open and in good standing. [1] Eligible cardholders also receive complimentary Hertz Five Star status after enrolling through the Benefits Tab link in the Capital One website or mobile app. [1]

Protections and portal services. Capital One lists travel accident insurance, an auto rental collision damage waiver and an extended warranty on eligible purchases, with terms and exclusions set out in the Guide to Benefits for the card. [1] Through Capital One Travel, cardholders get price drop protection and a price match guarantee on flights, hotels and rental cars, and Capital One describes average flight savings of 15% from price prediction; these services vary by account, may not be available on every booking and may carry additional fees. Exceptions and limits

• Benefits are not identical across Capital One cards. Capital One states that cardholder benefits vary by product and that some benefits are available only to the primary cardholder, not to authorised users. [1] The Venture X card is a separate product with a $395 annual fee, 10X miles on hotels and rental cars and 5X on flights and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel, and 2X on other purchases, so its terms should not be read across to Venture Rewards. • Welcome offer eligibility is time-barred. The 75,000-mile bonus is unavailable to applicants who received a new cardmember bonus for the Venture or Venture X card within the past 48 months, and the offer is described as available only when applying through the page where it appeared. [1]
• Credits have deadlines and conditions. The $300 Travel Stays credit lapses one year after account opening and is not restored after cancellation if it has already expired. [1] The Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit is limited to one per account every four years, and a statement credit is reversed if the qualifying purchase is returned, refunded, cancelled or modified. • Status and portal perks require action or may change. Hertz Five Star status requires enrolment through the Benefits Tab link and the offer is subject to change. [1] Capital One Travel services such as price prediction and price match guarantee are subject to terms and conditions and vary by account. [1]
