How do you earn Capital One miles with Venture X Business?

Capital One says the card earns unlimited 2X miles on every purchase, everywhere, with no limits or category restrictions. [6] The issuer's business-card FAQ adds that there is no limit on the rewards a cardholder can earn and that rewards carry no expiration dates for the life of the account, provided the account remains in good standing. What does the $300 annual travel credit cover?

Eligible primary account holders receive a $300 credit each year to use toward purchases made through Capital One Business Travel. [6] Each annual credit expires on the next account open date anniversary, can be used in full for a single purchase or in part across several, and earns no rewards; if a purchase paid with the credit is cancelled, the credit is restored only if it has not expired. [6] [7] The account must be open and in good standing to receive or use the credit. [6]

Separately from the credit, the cardholder receives 10,000 bonus miles every year starting on the first anniversary, which Capital One values at $100. [6]

Capital One also offers up to a $120 statement credit on a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee, provided the application is completed and paid for with an eligible Capital One card. [6] [7] One statement credit is processed per account every four years, it applies to the application fee charged to the card first, and it posts within two billing cycles of the charge. [6] [7]

On the hotel side, Premier Collection bookings made through Capital One Business Travel carry a $100 experience credit applied at checkout by the hotel to qualifying charges, plus daily breakfast for two on hotel bookings, complimentary Wi-Fi and, when available, room upgrades, early check-in and late checkout. [6] The card also comes with Hertz President's Circle status, which Capital One describes as letting cardholders skip the counter at select locations and choose from a wider selection of cars. [6]

What lounge access does Venture X Business include?

As a primary Venture X Business cardholder, the cardholder gets complimentary access to Capital One Lounges and Landing locations. [6] Entry to Capital One Lounges requires the physical card or the digital lounge pass in the Capital One mobile app, and access is not guaranteed because it depends on space availability. [6] The membership also includes Priority Pass, which Capital One describes as entry to more than 1,300 lounges worldwide; cardholders must enrol in Priority Pass after activating the card. [6]

How does Venture X Business work as a charge card?

The card has no preset spending limit, so purchasing power adjusts over time based on spending behaviour, payment history and credit profile; Capital One states that this does not mean unlimited spending. [6] [7] It is designed to be paid in full, though the cardholder can carry over part of the balance with interest, and paying less than the minimum by the due date triggers a 2.99% late fee.
