GOL Smiles
GOL Smiles is built around GOL flights and its Brazil and South America market. Its ticket-date and route rules make it especially important to check where and when a ticket was issued before estimating either redeemable or qualifying miles. This profile separates the balance you can spend from the measures used for elite status.

- Before a flight, check the marketing carrier, operating carrier, fare and booking class.
- Keep the redeemable balance separate from the status measure listed below.
- Before booking, check award availability, fees and change conditions in the programme’s current search.
How flights earn
For tickets issued from 17 June 2026, GOL flights within Brazil and South America continue to use eligible spend in Brazilian reais; other international routes use eligible spend in US dollars. Ticket issue date selects the earning rules. Tier and a pre-registered Rota Favorita can change the bonus.
Miles or points to spend
Redeemable miles are called milhas resgatáveis. They are separate from qualifying miles.
Elite status qualification
Qualification can use qualifying miles or qualifying segments. Brazil and South America use one qualifying mile per eligible real spent; other international flights use two per eligible U.S. dollar spent. A qualifying segment is measured from origin to final destination, not each connection.
Expiry
Expiry depends on the source of the miles and the member tier. GOL flight miles for ordinary and Silver accounts have a six-year term; partner flight miles generally have a three-year term. Bonus miles can have their own shorter dates.
