PROGRAMME PROFILE
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse
Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is the name Virgin Atlantic uses for its own airport lounges, reached through Flying Club tier benefits or through Clubhouse invitations. [3] [6] The Flying Club terms single out two kinds of venue where invitations are accepted: "any of the VAA Clubhouses" and Revivals at London Heathrow. [3]
Facts checked: 18 October 2026
Key takeaways
- Clubhouse invitations are a Gold-tier benefit: Gold members who earn 1,500 Tier Points or more in their membership year receive two invitations for access to any Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse or Revivals at London Heathrow. [3]
- The Gold member must be travelling to use the invitations, each invitation admits one person once, and only Flying Club members flying with Virgin Atlantic may use them. [3]
- Under the terms effective from 30 October 2024, invitations are valid for 12 months from the date of issue; the previous edition of the terms said 24 months. [3] [4]
- The Flying Club terms describe access as a tier benefit or an invitation. [3]
Where invitations come from
Gold members who have earned 1,500 Tier Points or more in their membership year receive two invitations for access to any of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses, or Revivals at London Heathrow. [3] Tier Points are the measure that moves a member through the programme's levels, from Red to Silver to Gold. [2]
The invitations are credited when the member reaches 1,500 Tier Points. [3] Their validity depends on which edition of the terms was in force when they were issued: the terms effective from 30 October 2024 give 12 months from the date of issue, while the edition effective from 30 November 2021 until 29 October 2024 gave 24 months. [3] [4] For passes received as part of a promotional offer or as a goodwill gesture, the terms attached to the original Clubhouse pass email apply instead. [3]
Status-based access and guests
Invitations are not the only route the programme describes. The Flying Club terms say a Gold member using invitations receives access according to their current Gold tier benefit, and that the invitations can then be used for additional passengers travelling with that Gold member. [3] Virgin Atlantic's status match page, describing Silver and Gold, says the tier comes with "access to our award-winning Clubhouse, for you and a guest". [6]
The guest position differs by route. On the tier benefit as described on the status match page, the member plus one guest is the wording used. [6] On an invitation, each invitation admits one person only and can be used once, so extra travellers need their own invitations. [3] Only Flying Club members who are flying with Virgin Atlantic may use invitations, and anyone who is not a member must join the programme first. [3]
Using an invitation at the door
At a Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse or at Revivals at London Heathrow, an invitation has to be presented together with a valid Virgin Atlantic boarding pass, the Flying Club membership number and the Clubhouse pass code. [3] Invitations that have been forwarded to another email address, or saved as a screenshot, will not be accepted by staff. [3] There is no cash alternative and no exchange for an invitation. [3] Members may not sell or auction Clubhouse invitations, and doing so could lead to termination of membership. [3]
Household Accounts do not pool this benefit. Rewards earned by a Household Account Linked Member, including Clubhouse invitations, are not transferred to the Household Leader's account. [3] Points may be pooled within a household, but the invitations a linked member earns stay with that member. [3]
Exceptions and limits
- Shared lounges are excluded. Invitations are not accepted at Virgin Atlantic's shared lounges and can be used only at one of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouses or Revivals at London Heathrow. [3]
- Airport list. The terms name Revivals at London Heathrow explicitly and otherwise refer to "any of the VAA Clubhouses". [3]
- Cabin. The Flying Club terms describe the Gold tier benefit and the 1,500 Tier Point invitations. [3]
- Partner passengers. The terms distinguish Virgin Atlantic's own Clubhouses from shared lounges, and invitations do not work at the shared ones. [3]
- Travelling requirement. A Gold member must be travelling to use the invitations; they cannot be handed to someone who is not on a Virgin Atlantic flight. [3]
