Avis Preferred: points, tiers and reward rentals

Avis Preferred combines a points option with faster pickup and higher service tiers. Check which rental spend is eligible, whether a location participates and what a reward day actually covers.

Enrolment and service

The US Avis Preferred page describes free enrolment, expedited pickup at many locations, saved rental preferences and access to offers. The reward-points option is separate from service-tier recognition. Verify what is available at the place where you will collect the vehicle.

Earning points

Avis awards points on qualifying rental spend and selected optional-product spend. The current US page shows different earn rates by service tier and says reward-day pricing depends on standard base rate, car class and location. Taxes, special discounts and other offers may be treated differently. Consult the current earning table rather than applying the headline rate to the entire bill.

Preferred Plus and President’s Club

The current US programme offers rental-count and qualifying-spend routes to Preferred Plus and President’s Club. Check the official page for the current market-specific threshold and qualification year. Benefits can include an upgrade, expedited service or dedicated support, subject to the tier terms and participating location. The eligibility path and tier names can differ outside the US.

Reward days and accessories

Avis advertises reward days and selected accessories. US reward-day costs are grouped by the standard base-rate band, vehicle class and location. The reward may not cover taxes, surcharges, optional products or every part of a one-way rental. Check the checkout total before using points.

Before and after a rental

• Select the loyalty points option if the programme allows a choice of currency.
• Attach the Avis Preferred profile to the reservation and confirm the driver name.
• Check whether a pre-paid, corporate or third-party reservation is eligible.
• Save the final receipt and file a missing-points claim within the time limit in the account terms.
