Miles+Cash sits alongside a cash booking rather than replacing it: AEGEAN describes it as a service in which, when you book your flights, you redeem miles to pay for any amount of your ticket's value you wish, so you pay less for the trip. [2]
Because the Star Alliance route lets miles be spent on other carriers' flights, a Miles+Bonus balance is not confined to the two AEGEAN Group airlines; the same page also describes Star Alliance Gold status being recognised across the journey for Gold members. Where do the miles for an award come from?
Award miles are earned by travelling on AEGEAN and Olympic Air flights. [2] The Platinum tier page also lists extra earning routes for Platinum members: 30% extra award miles on AEGEAN and Olympic Air flights, and 3,000 award miles credited on the member's birthday once a date of birth is saved. [2] Award miles can also be bought in sets of 1,000 at €25 per set, with up to 50,000 award miles purchasable within a membership year. [2]
A Together account can hold up to 5 members, and the award miles each member earns are automatically transferred to the Together balance, which pools miles towards a booking. [2]

Olympic Air publishes a separate domestic table, effective for bookings and rebookings as of 16.05.2023. [4] On both airlines, booking classes I, X, N and R are not eligible for accrual, miles are credited up until 60 hours after the flight, and after a rebooking the table in force follows the last ticket modification date. How do Platinum members upgrade a flight?
Alongside award tickets, AEGEAN lists four free Business Class upgrades as a Platinum benefit, usable within the validity period of the tier. [2]
- Which flights. The benefit is provided only on flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air. [2]
- Availability. It depends on the availability of seats for upgrade, not on Business Class seat availability in general. [2]
- Deadline and channel. The request is submitted online through the Miles+Bonus account only, up to 2 hours before departure of the flight concerned, and its status can be followed in the account. [2]
- Who flies. The upgrade can be used for the member or for another person, provided that person is in the same booking. [2]
- Mileage after the upgrade. Miles accrue according to the fare originally purchased, not the cabin flown. [2]
- When it can be used. The benefit is provided on upgrade or tier renewal and expires with the tier's validity period. [2]
Exceptions and limits
- Tier qualification from 5 November 2026. Platinum launches on 5 November 2026; from 05/11/2026 members can upgrade to Platinum having accumulated 72,000 tier miles in the last 12 months including at least 32 AEGEAN and/or Olympic Air flights, and retaining Platinum requires the same 72,000 tier miles and 32 flights, with only miles accrued through flight activity counting as tier miles. - Retention timing. Members whose retention period ends on or after 05/11/2026 must meet the new tier rules, while those whose retention period ends on or before 04/11/2026 may retain their tier under the previous rules; each member moves to the new retention rules after their next expiry or renewal date. - Gold to Platinum. From 05/11/2026 Gold members may upgrade to Platinum only by collecting 72,000 tier miles through flights, including at least 32 flights with AEGEAN and/or Olympic Air in the last 12 months. [3]
