Earn

Official KLM “Earning Miles” page:

  • Earn Miles flying KLM or partners when Flying Blue number is provided at booking; also hotels/cars/partners/credit card/Flying Blue Store.
  • On KLM and Air France flights: Miles for each euro spent (including carrier surcharge, excluding other taxes and fees) and on extras (bags, seats, meals).
  • Rates by level: Explorer 4 / Silver 6 / Gold 7 / Platinum 8 / Ultimate 9 Miles per euro.
  • Miles usually post within 24 hours after flight; missing Miles can be claimed.

  • Buy reward tickets with Miles; taxes and carrier charges paid separately in cash.
  • Promo reward discounts may apply (monthly).
  • Book extras with Miles: upgrade, extra legroom, extra bags (at booking or via My Trip).
  • Cash & Miles: up to 25% of a reward ticket with cash; up to 25% of a regular ticket with Miles (Miles earned only on cash portion of regular tickets).
  • Transfer Miles to another member (fee applies); Flying Blue Store for merchandise/experiences.
