Travel credits are not miles

Venture X Rewards carries a $300 annual Capital One Travel credit instead. [1] Each annual credit expires on the next account open date anniversary and is applied at checkout within Capital One Travel. [1]
Both credits follow the same conditions: a cancelled purchase restores the credit if it has not expired, an expired credit is not restored on cancellation, and the card account must be open and in good standing to receive or use the credit. [1]
