Alternatively, a transaction earns the bonus rate at Alibaba, AliExpress, Amazon, ezbuy, Guardian, Lazada, Mustafa Centre, Shopee, Taobao, TikTok Shop, Unity by FairPrice or Watsons. MCCs are assigned by the payment card networks rather than by OCBC, and a merchant's registered MCC may not match its actual line of business, so a shop that looks like it should qualify may not. [4] Transactions at merchants assigned to non-eligible MCCs do not qualify for rewards. [4]
How long do OCBC$ last?
OCBC$ are valid for 24 calendar months from the month in which they were earned. [4] They expire on the last day of the 24th calendar month, called the OCBC$ expiry date, and any OCBC$ not redeemed by that date expire automatically and can no longer be used. [4] The count starts from the earning month rather than from a fixed date, so each month's points carry their own deadline. How do you redeem or convert OCBC$?

Exclusions, caps and limits
- Grocery and supermarket spend. Transactions under MCC 5411 for grocery stores and supermarkets do not earn any bonus OCBC$, even at merchants named on the card page. [4]
- ShopeePay. Transactions described as “ShopeePay” under MCC 5262 do not earn any OCBC$. [4]
- Exclusion list. OCBC's card site links to a separate OCBC Cards Rewards Transaction Exclusion List alongside the card terms and conditions. [1]
- Caps. Base OCBC$ are uncapped, but bonus OCBC$ stop at 10,000 a month and 120,000 a year, after which qualifying spend earns 1 OCBC$ per S$1. [4]
