COURSE
Start here: Standard Chartered 360° Rewards (Singapore) — eligibility, earning, expiry and redeeming points
Standard Chartered 360° Rewards is a points program for eligible Standard Chartered credit cards issued in Singapore, governed by Part D of the bank’s Credit Card Terms [1]. This six-step course explains who can take part, how points are earned and posted, when they expire, and what each redemption route requires [1].
Facts checked: 19 October 2026
Key takeaways
- Eligibility is limited to principal cardholders of eligible Standard Chartered Visa or Mastercard credit cards issued in Singapore, and the card account must be valid, subsisting and in good standing [1].
- Unless otherwise stated, eligible cards earn 1 point for every S$1 of retail transactions; some transactions earn nothing, and Relationship Rewards require maintained balances or product holdings [1].
- Points have a 3-year “Initial Period” and then a 3-year “Further Period”, with the Visa Infinite rule in clause 15.2.4; from 11 July 2026 they are non-transferable and non-assignable [1].
What you will be able to do after this course
- Decide whether a card and card account fit the program’s eligibility rules before relying on points.
- Complete a first check of eligibility, points balance, expiry date and one planned redemption.
Step 1: What 360° Rewards is and who it suits
You will learn: what the program covers, who can take part, and why its rules are split into two reward types.
The program awards 360° Rewards Points when a cardholder uses an eligible credit card in the specified manner and when the cardholder establishes and maintains certain products or performs certain activities [1]. “Unless we agree otherwise”, redemption is for E-Vouchers or Transfer Partner Miles through the Mileage Transfer Program [1]. The terms must be read with the Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms and other documents forming the banking agreement (“Applicable Terms”), and they prevail only to the extent of any inconsistency [1].
Eligibility is limited, “Unless we agree otherwise”, to principal cardholders holding a Standard Chartered Visa or Mastercard credit card issued in Singapore that is valid, subsisting and in good standing [1]. The excluded cards are the Simply Cash Credit Card, Spree Credit Card, Cashback Visa Gold, Cashback Mastercard Gold and the MANHATTAN Cards (S$500 Card/Gold/Platinum/World Mastercard, and co-brand card) [1]. There are two reward types: “Credit Card Spend Rewards” and “Relationship Rewards”; a cardholder can earn both if all conditions for each are met, and the number of points differs by Private Banking, Priority Banking, Preferred Banking or Personal Banking segment [1]. It suits principal cardholders of an eligible Standard Chartered card issued in Singapore who want to know how points are earned, kept and redeemed [1].

Step 2: Staying eligible: principal and supplementary cards
You will learn: what can disqualify a cardholder, what happens to unused points, and how supplementary cards affect the principal cardholder.
Standard Chartered may determine eligibility, and a cardholder is ineligible or immediately disqualified if any principal card account is suspended, terminated or closed; legal proceedings are faced or threatened; any account is not in good standing, delinquent or unsatisfactorily conducted; the cardholder dies or becomes incapacitated; becomes insolvent; or breaches another term of the banking agreement [1]. Disqualification immediately forfeits unused points and makes allocated E-Vouchers or rewards unavailable, without payment or compensation [1].
Terminating a supplementary card account does not by itself disqualify the principal cardholder unless Standard Chartered determines otherwise [1]. All benefits, including points earned by a supplementary cardholder, are given to the principal cardholder and may be used only by the principal cardholder [1]. At redemption, only principal cardholders whose card accounts are valid, subsisting and in good standing are eligible [1].
Go deeper: authorized user.
Step 3: How points are earned and posted
You will learn: how spending and relationship points are calculated, when they appear, and which conditions can remove them.
Under “Credit Card Spend Rewards”, cardholders earn monthly points based on card retail transactions posted to the account daily and rounded to the nearest whole number in the statement month [1]. Unless otherwise stated, all eligible cards earn 1 point for every S$1 of retail transaction successfully charged (the 1x reward); more points may be awarded depending on customer segment and/or card spend [1]. No points are earned for transactions listed under the Standard Chartered Credit Cards Retail Transaction Exclusions [1].
Under “Relationship Rewards”, Private Banking and Priority Banking customers are rewarded on average or outstanding balances in applicable “Product Categories”, while Preferred Banking and Personal Banking customers are rewarded on Product Categories held [1]. Relationship Rewards are calculated at the close of the preceding calendar month; Credit Card Spend Rewards are calculated on the statement period, and the points balance appears in the statement [1]. No Relationship Rewards are earned in a month when the applicable balance or Product Category is not maintained, or all accounts in that Product Category are terminated within the month; after an upgrade or downgrade, the conditions for the new segment must be met for that month [1]. No Relationship Rewards are earned on CPF purchased funds, balances in MortgageOne, commercial mortgage loans or approved but undisbursed Mortgage Loans [1].
With more than one eligible card, points may be aggregated for reward redemption but not for fee waivers; points are deducted from the account with the earliest-expiring points and the cardholder cannot choose the account [1]. Points are rounded down, have no cash or monetary value, are used only as specified and are not available until they appear on the statement [1]. Clause 14.3.1 says monthly Credit Card Spend Rewards are rounded to the nearest whole number, while clause 24.5 says all points are rounded down; the terms do not say how the two fit together [1]. Standard Chartered may terminate, suspend, withdraw, shorten or extend the program and may revoke, adjust or recalculate points, including where a transaction is unpaid or credits are posted from returns, billing disputes or chargebacks; it may suspend calculation to rectify errors [1]. Clauses 15, 16 and 17 are the separate Priority Banking, Preferred Banking and Personal Banking 360° Rewards Program parts, and clause 26 is a summary of those programs; this course does not reproduce them [1].
Go deeper: eligible card spend; card points posting; card points rounding.
Step 4: Expiry, closed cards and transfers
You will learn: how long points last, what happens when a card account closes, and how transfer rules are printed.
Points are valid for 3 years from the date the card account to which they are credited was opened (“Initial Period”), and points awarded after the Initial Period are valid for a further 3 years from the date it ends (“Further Period”) [1]. After that, subject to clause 15.2.4 and clause 18, remaining points expire automatically, and expired points cannot be reinstated [1].
Clause 15.2.4 says that, subject to clause 13.2, points earned on a Visa Infinite Card do not expire as long as the Visa Infinite Card remains valid [1]. It sits in the Priority Banking part of the terms, which applies only if the cardholder meets clause 15.1, so it should not be read as a general rule for every card [1]. If an eligible card account is terminated and a new eligible card account is opened, points credited to the terminated account are not transferred to the new account [1].
Clause 18 is printed twice. The version headed “360° Rewards Points Transfer (On or before 10 July 2026)” allowed transfers only to principal cardholders, up to five nominees, each holding an eligible card that is valid, subsisting and in good standing; the fee was S$10 for every 100,000 points transferred to each nominee, with no charge for Visa Infinite cardholders [1]. The version headed “360° Rewards Points Transfer (With effect from 11 July 2026)” states that all points earned are non-transferable and non-assignable, and this is the current rule; the earlier version is still printed [1].
Two further references remain: clause 19.3 c still lists “Points Transfer” at card-account level, and clause 24.7 still makes expiry subject to Clause 18 [1]. The terms as printed do not reconcile those references with the 11 July 2026 version [1].
Go deeper: card points expiry; transferable points when closing a card.
Step 5: Redeeming: catalog, annual fee, E-Vouchers, Points to Cash and miles
You will learn: which points can be redeemed, how each route works, and which fees and cut-off rules apply.
Redemption is from the 360° Rewards Program catalog or other published channels; each channel’s terms apply, and using a channel accepts them [1]. Only points awarded and reflected in the latest issued monthly statement, or another date Standard Chartered determines, are redeemable [1]. Points may be aggregated across all eligible cards for E-Voucher redemption, across Visa Infinite Cards or all other cards for miles at their respective conversion rates, and at card-account level for Points to Cash and Points Transfer [1]. Except for miles on Visa Infinite Cards and card-account-level uses, points are deducted from any eligible account with the earliest-expiring points [1].
- Annual fee. Points may offset the annual fee, in full or in part, when it is due, and sufficient points must be set aside; the printed table is Priority Banking Visa Infinite 50,000; Visa Infinite N.A.; Mastercard World (For Preferred World Mastercard only) 37,500; Visa Signature 45,000; Platinum 30,000; Gold 30,000; Classic 30,000; $500 Cards 5,000, in the table headed “with effect from 1 October 2021” [1].
- Processing and limits. Processing is estimated at up to 5 working days, excluding email or miles transfer time; E-Voucher confirmation goes to the principal cardholder’s registered email and Points to Cash is credited to the principal cardholder’s credit card [1]. Points are deducted when a request is accepted and processed; any cash amount for a partial redemption is charged immediately, and no instruction can be revoked once points are deducted [1]. Requests are first come, first served, with no expediting, and a partial redemption is rejected if the account lacks enough points or credit limit [1]. Deducted points cannot be refunded, restored or transferred back [1].
- E-Vouchers. A code appears in order history after the confirmation email; it is valid for 3 months from that email and must be loaded into the merchant’s mobile app [1]. A redemption cannot be canceled, refunded or exchanged for cash, points, another E-Voucher or merchandise, and Standard Chartered may replace a lost, damaged or stolen E-Voucher on written request for a S$10 service fee plus the full retail value of any used or redeemed E-Voucher reported lost [1].
- Points to Cash. Cash is credited to the principal cardholder of the card selected, within 5 working days, at Smart Card 3200 points for SGD$10 or all other credit cards 40350 points for SGD$100 [1].
Under the Mileage Transfer Program, only principal cardholders may participate, and participation is also subject to Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer terms or Asia Miles terms [1]. There is no “enrolment fee”; conversion is 25,000 points for 10,000 miles for Visa Infinite Card and Journey Credit Card, and 34,500 points for 10,000 miles for all other 360° Rewards Points earning credit cards, or “at such other rate as we may specify from time to time” [1]. A KrisFlyer transfer costs S$27.25 inclusive of GST for each redemption and is strictly not waivable [1]. Transfers take about 5 working days, up to 20 if investigation is needed, and cannot be expedited; once approved, no amendment, cancellation or reversal is allowed [1]. No voucher or confirmation is issued, so the partner airline must be checked, and all miles must be credited to the cardholder’s own individual account [1]. A paragraph numbered “21.7” between 22.6 and 22.8 states that Standard Chartered is not responsible for fraud or an unsuccessful transfer; points are reinstated if a transfer fails, with no notification when the failure is due to insufficient points [1].

Step 6: What to do now
You will learn: a short checklist that turns the rules into one concrete first pass.
- Confirm the card is not one of the clause 13.1 exclusions, that you are the principal cardholder and that the account is valid, subsisting and in good standing [1].
- Check the latest statement for points and the card account opening date for the “Initial Period” and “Further Period” [1].
- Before a KrisFlyer transfer, check the current conversion rate and the S$27.25 fee, and use your own KrisFlyer account [1].
