What do you have to do to keep the status?
United. During the 120-day challenge period a member must earn a set number of PQF on flights operated by United or United Express and a set number of PQP on those flights or from purchases on an eligible United Chase credit card; the numbers depend on the Premier level matched. [2] PQP from the base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges count, as do PQP and PQF from award tickets or Money + Miles payments, and PQP from Economy Plus seating, preferred seat purchases, MileagePlus Upgrade Award co-pays and paid upgrades. [2] Card PQP counts for the primary cardmember only, and only if posted between the activating flight date and the last day of the challenge. [2] PQP from Economy Plus subscriptions, promotional PQF or PQP, PQP from converting other currencies and credit-card PQF do not count, and Basic Economy and base-fare tickets earn PQP but not PQF. [2] Members cannot reach a higher Premier level through the offer than the one they were matched to, although the published qualification thresholds still apply. Exceptions and limits
- United benefit limits during the trial. Premier membership materials are not issued for the challenge period, and members may not have access to all reciprocal Premier benefits with United's partners, including Star Alliance lounge access. [2]
- Missed activating flight. A member who does not complete the activating flight in the required window loses eligibility for the offer and cannot submit another Premier Status Match request in the same calendar year. [2]
- Withdrawal of a match. United reserves the right to request supplemental documentation and to rescind a match after an audit or investigation, for example where documentation was altered, a name was deliberately altered, a broker or agency submitted the request, or false contact information was used. - Existing elite members. United will not grant a match to a member who already holds equivalent or higher MileagePlus status, [2] and Alaska excludes existing Atmos Platinum and Atmos Titanium members even if they hold equivalent or higher status with another airline. [4]
- Residency and repeat use. Alaska's offer is valid only for legal residents of the United States and Canada and may be received once in an account's lifetime. [4]
