- Before a flight, check the operating airline, marketing airline, fare and booking class against the programme earning rules.
- Before moving points or booking an award, check current availability, taxes, fees and change conditions on the official site.
- Review the expiry rule and the programme terms for account-specific exceptions.

Joining / eligibility
Verified from official overview + Program Rules (readable copy):
- Marketing: “It's free to join” / “Join today for free.” Miles don’t expire.
- On enrollment, Members receive an individual membership number; digital card via Fly Delta app; membership numbers nontransferable; only one person per account; Members may not maintain more than one SkyMiles account.
- Parent/guardian confirmation required when enrolling a child (Program Rules language on parent/guardian checkbox).
- Corporations/businesses: separate SkyMiles for Business (link in rules) — not the personal programme.
not verified: exhaustive age-of-majority by jurisdiction table (beyond parent/guardian enrollment path).

Use a calculator
The mileage calculator compares programmes with checked rules. The status calculator shows a number only where a threshold has been checked. Neither one treats an unknown condition as zero. Come back to this page for the scope those numbers belong to.
